Biography
About
I am Feranmi Adeoye, a lawyer and doctoral researcher at the University of Reading School of Law. Many friends call me Jics. You may, too. I work on justice innovation, policy reform, AI governance, and legal technology.
Before the doctorate I completed an MSc in Public Policy at Reading as a Commonwealth Scholar, graduating with distinctions. I hold a First Class LL.B from Adekunle Ajasin University and was called to the Nigerian Bar after the Nigerian Law School, Lagos.
Alongside research I currently teach as an Associate Lecturer in the University of Reading School of Law. I founded and lead Thrive LegalSpace, co-founded BRiEFED, and have done technical legal research for public bodies in Nigeria. That work includes an improved net-worth declaration policy, manual, SOP, and e-declaration software for senior Central Bank of Nigeria staff, and a code of conduct and ethics for officers of the Nigeria Immigration Service.
If I am not reading, writing, or writing code, I am often at the guitar, or looking out at the sky and at leaves.
